There are different approaches to orient towards the sun automaticaly. This also depends on the thype of mount for the mirrors chosen. The most common is using a differential between two fotocells. This does not require knowing the actual position. Another is to use stepper motors and a table of the suns position. This can also work with servo motors. Stepper motors and servos can be used to reflect sunlight, but they are a bit more expensive. A cheaper alternative to stepper motors and servo's may be an ordinary motor combined with a [[http://www.scienceprog.com/using-gray-code-for-rotary-encoders/ Gray Codeing Wheel]]. Lastly there are clock gears that can in theory operate both axis (no example known).
