Big Linear Array
This is a linear array, a bigger version this time. The idea is that you make it possible to actuate the mirrors all at the same time, but still make it possible to position them in specific angles independently. The you can use one actuator to control an entire row of mirrors.Movie
I used wood to do it here and that may mean the thing becomes more bulky. If you have a metal workshop you may make simple hinges and control bars and achieve the same result more elegantly.
The mirrors used are aluminium attached to wood panels, and this is not ideal. The issue is stiffness to achieve a good focus. Glass is better but more heavy and fragile.
The mirrors are set in a wooden frame that can control the Y axis or azimuth if set or rested on some support.

A bus bar controls all mirrors even though they are all trimmed in a specific angle relative to the bus angle.

Even if they move together they keep the focus

The quality of the focus is not fantastic , it depends on the stiffness of the mirrors and their exact alignement. This can be made easy by precisely drilling the axle bolts or drilling the holes a bit large so you can set the exact position of the bolts later.

The mirrors are set up with two horizontal planks and a vertical board. There is no long back axes to save om parts. A diagonal piece of wood was added to increase stiffness.

The connections are made using nuts with plastic rings so you can space it for low friction.
