Set Nutritional Standards and Caloric Limits for Processed Food

If some regulations brough in by the food industry where banned and unhealthy products where no longer allowed in the supermarkets this would have several beneficial effects.

1. It would reduce obesity, provided the fattening ingredients like fructose where banned or severely restricted
2. It would save medical cost to deal with diet related disease (salt, fat, sugar)
3. It would save fertilizer and feedstock and pollution necessary to maintain intensive farming
4. It would reduce violence as a result of malnutrition and increase general IQ
5. It would create jobs for farmers producing vegetables, it could be combined with increasing local produce
6. It would save enormous amounts of energy in every step of the current diseasterous food production chain
