target during the day. That is the principle solar towers are based on. The secret is that this can

====The Power of a Heliostat====
The power of a mirror image of the sun depends on the losses of reflecting. The best case achievable would be
98%, but most glass mirrors reflect about 90%. If the insolation is 800 Watt/m2 that power can now be
directed to a source. The nice thing is that multiple mirrors can compound power to one target, which can be
a heat exchanger or as photovoltaic panel. There is almost no limit and temperatures of thousands of degrees can be
achieved to do all kinds of work.
In domestic settings one can think of simply making more sunlight availiable in the house, or using it to augment
central heating, to store heat in the summer for the winter, or lighting up pv to get a better yield from them (or
using PV and heat combined).
====Where do you get them====
A heliostat is a mirror that tracks the sun. The parts they are made off are not expensive. The controls are not expensive, and due to the
the big solar projects te mirrors are not that expensive. Still a mass produced form is not available.
